Conference Events

Be sure to join us on June 8 at 5:30 for an evening of laughter and lessons in cancer nutrition from Chef Amy Symington.

Here is what you will need:

  • 1 large service bowl for salad
  • 1 medium bowl to assemble salsa
  • 1 small bowl for dressing
  • knife
  • large cutting board
  • measuring spoons and cups
  • medium sauté pan
  • plating plate
  • something to juice citrus with (reamer, spoon, a strong hand)
  • tongs for tossing the salad
  • wooden spoon
  • whisk

NOTES from the chef:

Attendees can purchase canned lentils in lieu of dry if that is easier. Just ensure that they are rinsed thoroughly

Please review the recipes ahead of time and have ALL of your ingredients washed,  mostly prepped and organized in order of the recipes for ease of cooking along.

I would suggest pairing the above with a nice iced tea, lemonade or a sweet summer wine!

The Long Table Cookbook is available at a 20% discount for all conference attendees through the publisher, Douglas & McIntyre.

Conference registrants will be provided the code and details prior to the conference.

Chef Amy Symington is Toronto’s Gilda’s Club Nutrition Coordinator and a George Brown College Chef. All the author proceeds go to Toronto’s Gilda’s Club, to support their important social, emotional and nutritional programming.

Be sure to join us on June 9 at 6 p.m. EDT for what promises to be a fun and engaging evening with Brian, Jeremie and Taylor of sickboy podcast.
