AI in Supportive Care: Current and Future Directions

Wednesday, April 29, 12 to 1 p.m. ET, on Zoom

    Featuring:

Dr. John-José Nuñez is the Associate Medical Director of Supportive Care at BC Cancer and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia. A dual-trained cancer psychiatrist and computer scientist, his research uses artificial intelligence to improve outcomes for patients facing both cancer and mental illness or other supportive care needs. His work, published in leading journals and featured in international media, ranges from predicting cancer survival to identifying patients in need of counselling or psychiatric care, bridging the gap between data science and supportive cancer care.

Dr. Srinivas Raman is a staff radiation oncologist at BC Cancer Vancouver and a clinical associate professor in the division of radiation oncology, University of British Columbia. He currently serves as the chair for the BC Cancer lung tumour group. He is dual certified in clinical informatics, and his research interests are centred in applications of artificial intelligence to automate radiotherapy workflows and improve patient care. In this webinar, he will be speaking on Large Language Models as Patient-Facing Tools in Cancer Care.

We hope you’ll join us for this powerful and timely conversation.

Webinar access details will be provided in the registration confirmation email. Pending quality of the recording, this webcast will be available within 30 days of the live webinar.
